This was a publication I created to research about typefaces used in newspapers. I researched content in order to understand their typographic form and the history behind them. I chose to research four different popular American newspapers, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Chicago Tribune, and The New York Times. Within each newspaper I analyze the headline the typefaces they use and their unique characteristics. I compare each typeface’s typographic form and what makes them unique. Then I created my own typeface in reaction to those, it’s named Tribunal and is a serif typeface.
